How to Export Apple iCal to CSV & Excel
Apple Calendar stores events natively in iCalendar format. Follow these steps to export your Mac or iCloud calendar events into a CSV file.
Exporting from macOS Calendar App
- Launch the Calendar app on your Mac.
- In the sidebar, click on the specific calendar you wish to export.
- Click File in the top menu bar, then choose Export > Export...
- Save the
.icsfile to your Desktop or Downloads folder.
Alternative: Exporting from iCloud Calendar (Web)
If you don't have access to a Mac but your calendars are synced via iCloud, you can export them through the iCloud web interface:
- Visit icloud.com/calendar and sign in with your Apple ID.
- Click the Share icon next to the calendar you want to export.
- Enable Public Calendar and copy the subscription URL.
- Open the URL in a new browser tab — it will download the
.icsfile directly.
Tip: iCloud public calendar links use the webcal:// protocol. Simply replace webcal:// with https:// to download the file in your browser.
